Glow WordPress Theme

Glow is a dark, three column, fixed width (900 pixels), widget ready WordPress theme designed by Milo. The theme utilises the intelligent PHP Menu component by The Undersigned. For Mozilla users, Milo has integrated the hover opacity effect which unfortunately won’t work in IE6.

On the top right corner we have the blog name with an ordinary hover effect. Come over to the left and you will see the intelligent php Menu in action. As with any other Milo theme, layered tool tips on links are here too.

Further down comes the striking red header. Even before that, the theme has this typical white stripes on the background which gives a Web 2.0 effect. The tri column header only adds to the beauty.

Then we have the 3 column layout. The left is for content item, center has calendar, recent entries, categories and search and the right most has side notes, archives, links and meta. All links are red in colour and on hover the background becomes red turning the link to gray; neat style sheet usage.

On the footer we have a three column footer bar. The left most has the vital blog statistics and copyright message, center part is for recent entries and right most has categories. Of the 3 columns, the left most has a red background image which somewhat hinders the red links present on that column. Milo should have made some colour variations here.

All in all, this theme is a dream theme for dark design fans. The only issue I noticed is the above footer colour issue I poined out. But that won’t stop Glow from becoming a blogger favorite.

I have a question about the “SIDENOTES” feature i the 3rd column… how to I change the “ipsum lorem dolum” text there?

I’ve scoured the admin CP but can’t find a way to change or delete that text (would love to replace it with real comments…).

    Thank you in advance.
