3 Colours WordPress Theme

After the unique New Yorker theme, Milo has come up with an update for his colourful WordPress theme - 3 Colours 3.0. Based on the free Grandenally template, 3 Colours is a three column, fixed width (900 pixels) widget ready theme with an intelligent PHP Menu by The Undersigned. The first thing you would have noticed should be the big Green-Red-Blue header images. But before getting there, let me talk about some other good aspects of the theme.
The first difference I noticed about this theme is that the blog title is right aligned. Normally theme developers keep it on the left, but hey, we need a change, don’t we? Milo’s penchant for colours can be first noticed in the thin colour blocks which are positioned on the top along the full width of the theme.

On the right of the header is where the intelligent PHP menu is located. It is ideal if you have many categories or static pages on your site. The whole menu saves lots of space. Also the Milo trademark layered tool tips can be seen on hovering your mouse over any link.

Now here is what you have been waiting for - the big header images. This is undoubtedly THE factor that brought you into this page. Like you, I must say I am impressed too. The choice of header art is excellent, though just like any other header art, I can’t find out what it is.

The three column layout is pretty normal. Main content is on the left column while the middle and right ones serve the purpose of sidebars. Each of these columns have borders matching their header colours. Also the live links in each of these columns have been assigned colours just like their headers. Milo definitely has a passion for colours.
At the bottom of the page, there is an extra sidebar or more like a 3 column “footer bar”. The right two are pretty ordinary but the left most has vital statistics about your blog plus the copyright message.

Overall I wholeheartedly appreciate Milo’s colour sense. Thanks to the beautiful header images, any blog using this theme will definitely catch the visitor’s attention at first glance itself. Hey, isn’t that what every blogger wants?

The tooltips are a dustindiaz.com production, so the credit belongs to Dustin, all I’ve done is to implemented his script in all my themes.
