YGo Greenary CMS like WordPress Theme

After two excellent Ajaxified WordPress themes, YGo Search is back, but this time the Ajax is missing. But that is compensated with a non blog style layout which is ideal for anyone looking for anything out of the ordinary. YGo Greenary is a fluid width theme with a three column layout.
On top we have the header - no fancy effects anywhere. The header background is a greenish image showing tree tops towards the extreme right. Again nothing unseen.

To right of this header is our horizontal navigation bar for static pages. The design is that of a tabbed interface with transparent buttons (with fancy hover effects) for each page link. This transparency reveals the tree tops through the buttons and it doesn’t hinder the text in anyway - great work.

Now we have the three column layout. The left column has categories and archives, center is for main posts and the right has site details and blog roll. Of these, the left sidebar elements have a fancy paper fold effect on the right corner of every main sidebar item. Looks great.

On the center column is what which makes this theme unique. The content layout follows a two by two pattern (i.e. two posts staying side by side in every row) which was made famous by Hemingway Theme. This layout can pack in more contents than ever yet without compromising on beauty aspects.

Coming further down we have the recent posts module positioned in the third row, second column. The greenish background used must have been to justify the name but doesn’t look that good.

On the right sidebar there is a text block to write about your blog and also the blog roll. At the footer is the 3 column footer bar which has columns for recent comments, meta and a larger about box. I was more or less expecting this footer bar as it is common with every other Hemmingway like theme.

To conclude, YGo Greenary is one of the very rare WordPress themes that provide a CMS (Content Manage System) like output. If you know a bit more coding, you can actually run a portal using this theme. The only thing I miss is the Ajax effect that is normally associated with YGo themes.

I wish there were more themes for Worpress based on a CMS rather than blog. I would be great to see the total potential of what you can do with Wordpress
But wordpress is a blog. And a damned good one at that. Why try to make it into a CMS?
Also by CMS do you mean a 3 column layout? If so there are tons of them around
It’s a great looking wordpress theme. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show correctly in IE.
I like it though and will do the tweaking on my part. I guess it’s a small thing to do when all the hard stuff have been done for you by the theme author.
I love cms like theme for wordpress since maby of my blogs are magazine-like sites.
