Small Studio Theme by Ericulous

Before getting to the review, let me tell you, Eric is my favorite WordPress theme porter. He is a master of porting WordPress themes from professional looking sites. This particular theme was actually released in January 2007 but it was added to the official WordPress Theme site only today. So I thought why not review now.

Small Studio theme has been ported over from Solucija. The theme doesn’t follow any conventional blog looks and is more of a corporate design ideal for small business or corporate websites. It has a short content body with three hybrid columns.

Under the silver header which contains the search box, we have a big “About Us” box with left aligned text and stock photo to the right. I hope it won’t be difficult for a newbie to change this stock image.

On the left we have the typical sidebar. To the right of the sidebar, i.e. underneath the About box we have two more columns - one for the latest post and other the recent posts. Links to specific categories can be found under the latest post, which is in addition to those on the left sidebar.

Underneath the latest post, there are the usual comment count and read more buttons. Here they are more like buttons within a rectangular bordered frame which looks good.

Overall, Small Studio is one of the very rare WordPress themes that can be used for Corporate purposes too. Hats off to Eric.

    I’m flattered
But of course credits goes to Luka Cvrk, the template creator ;)
